With the start of the 2016-2017 academic year, Media Clusters Brussels is launching the Brussels’ Media Survey. With this questionnaire, MCB hopes to gather data regarding media workers and professionals, students and enthusiasts working in and around Brussels in the area of news, new and digital media, TV, movies, advertising, public relations, print media, etc.
The purpose of the survey is for MCB to gain knowledge about all stakeholders involved in media in Brussels. It’s goal is to better understand what media workers do and what they need. The Brussels’ Media Survey covers aspects of media workers’ profiles, skills, mobility, and the events as well as communities they are participating in. The knowledge gathered through this survey will feed directly into the project.
Help the Brussels Region to help you!
Brussels politicians are heavily investing in developing the local media sector. Projects, like the development of the Media Park at Reyers, are key strategies of the government. Further investments and political initiatives that target the Brussels’ media industry will follow and are in development right now. However, little is known so far about the Brussels’ media sector. The people in charge need the necessary knowledge to make the right decisions in this context. The Brussels’ Media Survey aims at creating this knowledge and enable local politicians to support the media industry in a rightful way.
The MCB project needs feedback from a representative group of media professionals from Brussels that mirror the diversified media landscape. If you are a media professional in Brussels, help us understand Brussels’ media sector and make your voice heard. The results will be published for all respondents and shared with Brussels-Capital Region authorities.
